A supremely rich and complex style of wine with a bed of fine, grainy tannins promising a long cellar life ahead, it's drinking so beautifully now at 4 years old, it's hard to muster the patience to see it through to its 15-year potential. Church Road Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot spends a full 18 months in French oak, before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Pure cassis and freshly mown summer hay, with black plums, tobacco, cardamom and cedar.

Full-bodied and very keenly structured, with lots of lovely chocolatey notes flooding the dark fruit profile. Drinking superbly now, this will be at its best over the next 5 to 8 years, but has the extract and balance to make a beautiful mature wine as well. Enjoy with beef short rib between now and 2030.
